Front Row, Huntsville Alabama’s transformative downtown development, commemorated its groundbreaking phase on April 16, 2024. Mayor Battle joined key project figureheads Mitchell Rutter, CEO of Essex Capital, and Daniel Shields, President of Ascend Property, along with representatives from Silverstein Properties, Cantor Fitzgerald, the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce, among others in a memorable celebration.
The event featured speeches and a ceremonial shovel dig, symbolizing the project’s commencement. Notably, Front Row presented a $250,000 donation to the Huntsville Housing Authority, designating our contribution to be used toward HHA’s Campus of Growth initiative, formerly known as the Envision Center.
The festivities continued with cocktails, food, and live music inside the nearby Mars Music Hall within the Von Braun Center. Mitchell Rutter of Essex Capital highlighted the project’s commitment to surpassing expectations, premier amenities, and a dynamic live-work-play environment, while Daniel Shields of Ascend Property emphasized its focus on combining an elevated residential and retail experience in a prime location, connecting many vantage points within the city of Huntsville, and introducing an unprecedented offering to the downtown community. Front Row aims to redefine downtown living in Huntsville, offering a unique blend of residential, retail, and recreational spaces all coming to live starting fall 2025.
